The Hernando Endoscopy and Surgery Center Offers a Safe and Comfortable Alternative to a Hospital Setting.

The Hernando Endoscopy and Surgery Center opened its doors in November of 1996. It soon developed a reputation for providing quality outpatient surgical procedures in a warm and friendly atmosphere along with a healthy dose of compassion and respect for each individual.

The Hernando Endoscopy and Surgery Center is a modern state of the art ambulatory surgery center where you will be cared for by competent professionals who specialize in ambulatory procedures and who are committed to making your experience as safe and pleasant as possible. All surgeons and physicians on staff are board certified or eligible and have admitting privileges in at least one of the three hospitals in our community. In addition they have received credentials to use our facilities through a stringent Medical Board Review process. This ensures the highest level of professionalism and standards consistent with those of The Hernando Endoscopy and Surgery Center.

Our clinical staff consists predominantly of R.N.'s supported by LPN's and surgical technicians with considerable training and experience in ambulatory procedures. All clinical staff work under the direction and guidance of your physician.

We offer a full range of ambulatory surgical procedures. Our physicians and surgeons represent a variety of specialties including urology, gynecology, gastroenterology, orthopedic, general surgery, pain management, plastic and podiatry.

Here at the Hernando Endoscopy and Surgery Center, the focus is on the patient and creating an atmosphere that is comfortable, relaxed and cheerful. If you have any questions please call us and talk to our Pre-Admit Nurse prior to your arrival for Surgery.

Thanks to today's advanced surgical techniques and anesthesia methods, our patients remain in our facility for only a short time.  However, expect to form warm personal relationships with the nurses caring for you. Your personal comfort and rapid recovery are our highest priorities.

Our Efficiency Means Cost Savings

The efficiencies of outpatient surgery and the absence of an overnight hospital stay reduce surgery costs. These savings are past on to the patients and third party payers.

We accept most private insurance, and we are providers for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida, Universal HealthCare, United HealthCare, Cigna, Coventry, Freedom Health plans, Health Options, Humana, Optimum Healthcare, Tricare, Wellcare, Medicare, Medicaid,  and many health plans. As a convenience to our patients, we handle all paperwork involved in payer billing.
